Releases by Celer, Andrew Tasselmyer and David Newlyn are out on limited cassette, we're sold out of Andrew Tasselmyer tapes, but he will have a few available on his bandcamp soon - https://andrewtasselmyer.bandcamp.com/

Lots of things happening over the next few months. Hakobune's Obelisk CD will be released on April 6th, as a longtime fan of Takahiro's work it's lovely to be putting this new collection of ambient guitar works out into the world.
3 tapes are scheduled to be released in May, albums I'm really proud to be able to release. First up is David Newlyn's Church Fires, a long-form ambient piece that spans the entire side of a C90 cassette. One of his most minimal and moving pieces to date. Next is a tape from Andrew Tasselmyer (of Hotel Neon) titled Places Real and Imagined, which features 8 pieces based on field recordings taken in various parts of the world. Beautiful textures and melodies in this one. Finally we have Something Cathartic, a new release from Celer featuring 5 pieces based on vinyl loops recorded at 16 rpm. Minimal beauty, as Celer does best.
I'm also curating a compilation that will have a limited CD-R release, and all proceeds will go to Wishing Well Sanctuary, an organization based just north of Toronto that takes in and cares for animals as well as provides education for children on caring for the planet, and compassion for all species. As a vegan (and cat owner), I've wanted to find a way to support animal rights and running the label provides a great way for me to do so. There are some incredible artists and friends contributing to the compilation, and I'm very grateful they are doing so, including Benoit Pioulard, Celer, Secret Pyramid, Ian Hawgood, Hotel Neon, April Larson, Clara Engel, Rhucle, and many others. I'm hoping to have this released in late May or June.
I also have several releases as anthéne on labels that I am really excited to be working with. My split release with Endurance was released yesterday on Metaphysical Circuits, I have a tape coming out on ACR in May, one on Muzan Editions coming out in August, and CD on Whitelabrecs in September/October. I've also been working on 2 releases under my own name, Bradley Sean Alexander, that are scheduled for release this year on Patient Sounds and Pyramid Blood Recordings, both are ambient works with the addition of strings and mellotron.
I'm releasing 2 CD's at the end of July from poemme and triac. The poemme album Soft Ice was previously released digitally on her bandcamp page, and I'm excited to be able to be able to present a physical edition of this beautiful album. Triac are following up their 2016 release "Here", released on Richard Chartier's Line Imprint, with a continuous 30-minute piece of blissful ambience. As a fan of their previous work, it's lovely to be able to present this new work from them.
I still have CD's and cassettes in stock from most of our 2017 releases (except for Departures, Vol. 1). Many thanks to those of you who have ordered a physical copy or bought a download, it is greatly appreciated and goes a long way towards helping with funding releases going forward.
Thanks to the lovely Stationary Travels for the label feature last month. Brian has been immensely supportive of the label, North Atlantic Drift and my solo work and he writes beautifully - https://stationarytravels.wordpress.com/2017/06/02/travelogue-2017-05-31-spotlight-on-polar-seas-recordings/

North Atlantic Drift recently played their first ever live show at Casual Drones 14 in Toronto - here's a short review (wherein one track is referenced as an ambient version of springsteen) and live clip courtesy of Mechanical Forest Sound - http://mechanicalforestsound.blogspot.ca/2016/01/recording-north-atlantic-drift.html
They will also be performing at the Long Winter Festival on February 19th - more details here - http://www.torontolongwinter.com/february-19-2016
It's been quite a while since the last news update, as things have been relatively quiet with us. The new North Atlantic Drift record is progressing slowly but surely, we have quite a bit of material, just trying to figure out which pieces will work together for a new LP. There may still be some writing and re-recording to be done and it will be released digitally as well as on a format to be decided. Additionally the debut anthéne album is now available as a free download from our bandcamp page. Thanks for checking in. We hope to have more updates in the not too distant future.
The North Atlantic Drift / Northumbria split CD is almost sold out on the polar seas bandcamp page! Thanks to all who have ordered the CD or bought the download, the release will be available on iTunes, Spotify, etc. this week as well. There are still a few copies at Norman Records and Wyrd Distro.
The Orbit Over Luna - Transit CD's sold out pretty quickly from us, but it looks like there might still be a couple copies left at Wyrd Distro.
North Atlantic Drift are currently working on their new LP, the follow up to Resolven, which should be released in early 2015. Anthene is preparing his debut LP, to be released this fall. More information will be announced in the next few months about these 2 releases.
